NOTES: Chrysotimus View in CoL is known from all realms except the Afrotropical. Despite its wide distribution, this genus comprises only a small number of species. Chrysotimus View in CoL is most diverse in southern temperate forests of
Australia, New Zealand, and Patagonia,
where it is often abundant. Many species await description from these regions. Species of Chrysotimus are generally found on vegetation, especially on broadleaved trees.
