Species similar to Eugenia dichroma and Eugenia umbrosa , but differs in having pedicels with intumescent apices, lanceolate calyx lobes constricted near the base, bracteoles linear and fruits glandular-rugose.
Trees to 8 m tall, leaves 10.0–14.5 × 5.5–6.5, midvein sulcate on adaxial lamina surface, raceme with the main axis reduced, hypanthium and style glabrous, fruit ellipsoid, glandular-rugose with seeds ellipsoid and maculate.
