Description. Female.

Head entirely smooth; in dorsal view, 1.8 times as wide as median length, 1.45 times as wide as mesoscutum, with rounded temples behind eye. Eye in lateral view 2.15 times as high as wide and 0.65 times as wide as temple medially. POL 1.55 times OD; OOL 3.35 times OD. Face 1.65 times as wide as high; inner margins of eyes subparallel. Clypeus slightly curved ventrally, 3.6 times as wide as high. Paraclypeal fovea not reaching middle distance between clypeus and eye. Mandible widened towards apex, 0.65 times as long as its maximum width. Upper tooth of mandible longer than middle tooth; middle tooth wide basally and narrowed towards apex, rounded apically; lower tooth shorter than upper tooth, rounded apically. Antennae thick, 13–segmented. Scape 3.15 times as long as pedicel. First flagellar segment twice as long as its apical width, 0.9 times as long as second segment; second segment 1.85 times as long as its maximum width. Third to fifth flagellar segments 1.45–1.55 times, sixth to seventh segments 1.8 times, eighth segment 1.6 times, and ninth to tenth segments 1.3 times as long as their width. Eleventh flagellar segment 1.6 times as long as its maximum width.

Mesosoma 1.05 times as long as high (lateral view). Mesoscutum 1.05 times as long as maximum width. Notauli mainly absent. Mesoscutal pit present, oval. Prescutellar depression smooth, with two lateral carinae. Precoxal suture present, not reaching anterior and posterior margins of mesopleuron. Posterior mesopleural furrow crenulate below. Propodeum smooth, with complete median longitudinal carina from anterior to posterior propodeal margins, without transverse carinae. Propodeal spiracles relatively small, 0.2 times as long as distance between spiracle and apical margin of propodeum.

Wings. Length of fore wing 2.5 times its maximum width. Radial cell reaching apex of wing, 4.6 times as long as its maximum width. Nervulus weakly postfurcal. Brachial cell closed, short, widened apically, 3.15 times as long as its maximum width. Hind wing 6.9 times as long as its maximum width.

Legs. Hind femur 3.9 times as long as its maximum width. Hind tibia weakly widened towards apex, 9.7 times as long as its maximum subapical width, 0.95 times as long as hind tarsus. First segment of hind tarsus 1.55 times as long as second segment.

Metasoma distinctly compressed. First tergite completely smooth, weakly widened towards apex, 1.9 times as long as its apical width. Ovipositor 1.65 times as long as first tergite, distinctly shorter than metasoma, 0.85 times as long as hind femur.

Colour. Body and legs brown to dark brown. Wings hyaline. Pterostigma brown.

Body length 1.45 mm; fore wing length 1.6 mm.

Variation. Body length 1.4–1.6 mm; fore wing length 1.6–1.8 mm. Antenna 12–14–segmented. Mandible 0.6– 0.7 times as long as wide. Hind femur 3.9–4.0 times as long as its maximum width.

Male. Body length 1.9–2.0 mm; fore wing length 1.85–2.00 mm. Antenna 17–18–segmented. First flagellar segment 2.5 times as long as maximum width; second segment 2.15–2.20 times as long as maximum width. Hind femur 3.65–3.70 times as long as its maximum width. First metasomal tergite 1.8–1.9 times as long as its apical width.

Diagnosis. According to the key by Fischer (2003), this new species is similar to S. graeca Fischer, 2003 and S. simplimarginata Fischer, 2003 . S. falcoi sp. nov. differs from S. graeca in having the mandible 0.6–0.7 times as long as wide (as long as wide in S. graeca ), first flagellar segment twice as long as its width (2.5 times in S. graeca ), hind femur 3.9 times as long as its maximum width (3.5 times in S. graeca ), and the first metasomal tergite 1.9 times as long as its apical width (1.5 times in S. graeca ). On the other hand, S. falcoi differs from S. simplimarginata in having the mandible 0.6–0.7 times as long as wide (1.2 times in S. simplimarginata ), the first flagellar segment twice as long as wide (2.5 times in S. simplimarginata ), hind femur 3.9 times as long as its maximum width (5.0 times in S. simplimarginata ), and first metasomal tergite 1.9 times as long as its maximum width (1.6 times in S. simplimarginata ).

According to the key by Belokobylskij (2004a), S. falcoi sp. nov. also resembles S. lacessiva Fischer, 1975 , but differs from it in having the mandible 0.6–0.7 times as long as wide (as long as wide in S. lacessiva ), the first flagellar segment twice as long as its width (1.25 times in S. lacessiva ), and hind femur 3.9 times as long as its maximum width (3.0 times in S. lacessiva ).

On the other hand, S. falcoi is similar from S. berbegalae sp. nov. and S. navarroae sp. nov. This new species differs from S. navarroae in having the mandible 0.6–0.7 times as long as wide (0.9 times in S. navarroae ), the first metasomal tergite 1.9 times as long as its apical width (1.75 times in S. navarroae ), the lower tooth longer than upper tooth (shorter in S. navarroae ), eye in lateral view 2.15 times as long as high (1.75 times in S. navarroae ), scape 3.15 as long as pedicel (2.5 times in S. navarroae ), and anterior mesopleural furrow smooth (crenulated in S. navarroae ).

Differences between S. falcoi and S. berbegalae are showed after description of the latter species.
