Cordylomyia barsovi Berest, 1991 View in CoL —new junior synonym of Neurolyga fenestralis Rondani, 1840
Material studied: holotype male and paratype female, with the data as specified in the original description ( Berest 1991a).
I could not determine any character that would differentiate the type specimens of C. barsovi from the redescription of N. fenestralis ( Jaschhof 1998, Jaschhof & Jaschhof 2009), so I regard these two species as identical. The illustration of the male terminalia of C. barsovi ( Berest 1991a: fig. 2.3) is incorrect in that the serrate projections arising from the posterior edges of the tegmen were omitted. Berest’s (1991a) differential diagnosis of C. barsovi makes reference to C. collaris Mamaev, 1963 , but not to N. fenestralis , so she might simply have not considered the latter species. An adequate description of N. fenestralis , including illustrations of the male genitalia ( Jaschhof 1998: fig. 69a–d), appeared only several years after the publication of C. barsovi .
