Newly recorded in Nova Scotia ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ). Found in northeastern North America ( Bright 1991; Downie and Arnett 1996). Known to be predaceous on Adelges piceae (Ratzeburg) (Homoptera: Adelgidae ) on various Pinaceae and on Pineus strobi (Hartig) (Homoptera: Adelgidae ) on Pinus strobus L. ( Clark and Brown 1960). In Nova Scotia also found on Picea rubens Sarg. and Pinus banksiana Lamb.
