Vernacular Names: Ansorge's Free-tailed Bat.
Synonyms: Chaerephon rhodesiae Roberts 1946 .
Distribution: Nigeria and Cameroon to Ethiopia, south to Angola and KwaZulu-Natal ( South Africa).
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: bivittatus species group. Distinct from bivittatus ; see Eger and Peterson (1979), Taylor (1999), and Bouchard (2001).
