Climate types. Arid, with cool winters and very warm summers.

Distribution in Palaearctic Region. Europe: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain; Asia: Cyprus, Iran, Syria, Turkey ( Cate 2007; Merkl et al. 2010; Zapata de la Vega & Sánchez-Ruiz 2012).
