Type species: Swammerdamia heroldella Hübner, [1825]

A genus of predominantly grey moths which was separated from others by Friese (1960) on account of differences in the genitalia; the males with simple valvae lackng the protuberances of Paraswammerdamia , and the females with lamella postvaginalis lacking extended lobes.
