Holotype: Apterous ♂, pinned; Brasil,M.G. [ Minas Gerais], Gouveia ,20.III.[19]94,leg Nieser,N 9425, 1300 m asl.,pond.
Allotype: Apterous ♀, pinned; same data as holotype.
Remarks: In the original description, the author includ- ed additional information about the type-locality:“pond alongside road (apparently semi-artificial by the road blocking some water flow) rich emergente and aquatic vegetation, pH 5.5, conductivity 10 μS, N.9495”.
