Riedel 185 (holotype B, destroyed; lectotype G 00386179! here designated, isolectotypes C, F 971450!, fragment G 00386180!, GH 00048807!, K 000600954!, NY 00273290!, P 00716795!, P 00716796!) .
Stillingia dichotoma View in CoL was based on an unnumbered Riedel collection from B. Müller Argoviensis (1873) cited the same specimen and included the collection number 185. No duplicate of the collection could be found at B. However, isotypes deposited in seven herbaria were traced. The specimen stored in G was designated as the lectotype because it is best conserved and also because this is the herbarium where Müller Argoviensis worked. Rogers (1951) mistakenly labeled this collection as holotype.
