Material studied. East Malaysia, Sabah: 1 female, Sandakan [5°51'N, 118°3'E]; collected before 1898], leg. D. Cator ( BMNH); 1 male, Tawai Plat., 8 mi. S Telupid, 8.ix.1977, leg. M.E. Bacchus ( BMNH); 1 male, Sorinsim [Bergil], 7.iii.1997 (tree nr. 6), 6°17'N, 116°42'E, leg. A. Floren ( ZFMK).

Discussion. The species was described after two females from Sabah. It was originally combined with Hueikaeana . Indeed, the females have rather broad tegmina for Deflorita . However the male tegmen has the apical half nearly parallel sided with its narrowest width preapically. The shape of the male tegmen together with the faintly sloping fastigium verticis and the ivory white vertex and stridulatory area are characters of Deflorita . Moreover, the elongate triangular stridulatory area (Fig. 3H) D. decora shares within Mirolliini so far known only with D. deflorita Brunner, 1878 (Fig. 3E). It differs by the flat disc of pronotum and the male abdominalia: tenth abdominal tergite, cerci, and subgenital plate. D. decora does not seem to be closely related to other species of Deflorita or Hueikaeana . Narrow, prolonged, grooved subgenital plates can also be found in D. pulchra Gorochov, 2008 , D. protecta sp. n. and D. marginata sp. n. although of different shapes. The prolongation of the tenth abdominal tergite is so far unique. The prolonged stridulatory area that does not leave a gap in the dorsal field when at rest, is in accordance with the near absence of dense hair or a bulge on the second abdominal tergite. The male is described here for the first time.

Description. Fastigium verticis weakly furrowed, with strong tubercle at tip (Fig. 1G). Fastigium frontis triangular, apex obtuse. Pronotum elongate, narrow; disc markedly flat (Fig. 2E), bent with an angle into paranota; with weak carina near base and behind second sulcus; sulci weak: first sulcus only at lateral angles, second sulcus in middle of disc; paranota longer than high; humeral sinus distinct. Tegmen in male narrowest at beginning of circa apical third (Fig. 2E).

Male. Stridulation area elongate, roughly narrow triangular (Fig. 3H). Stridulatory file on underside of left tegmen concave, 1.07 mm long; teeth in about basal third very dense, afterwards more robust, moderately dense; with 90 teeth, equating 84 teeth per mm; at base with 17.7, in middle with 5.7 teeth per 0.1 mm (Fig. 4H). Mirror on right tegmen elongate; in anterior area deeply depressed; 2.05 mm long, 1.26 mm wide; index length: width 1.63 (Fig. 3I).

Second abdominal tergite little longer than following tergites; anterior margin excavated in middle forming a small membranous oval groove; dorsal surface smooth with only few thin hairs (Fig. 9A). Tenth abdominal tergite furrowed in midline; central area prolonged and curved ventrad; apex rounded or very faintly bilobate (Figs. 7A– B). Epiproct triangular, hidden under projection of tenth abdominal tergite; surface with oval groove, outlined by carinae. Cerci not reaching tip of subgenital plate, faintly curved; apical area little swollen; apex with curved, acute tooth at external angle, internal angle obtuse (Fig. 7C). Subgenital plate with converging lateral margins, in apical quarter to fifth narrow parallel sided, little curved dorsad and before apex with a pair of compressed ventral projections with broad black margin (Figs. 7A, D–F).

Female. Epiproct small, triangularly rounded, dorsally grooved. Cerci narrow, little curved; apex subobtuse. Subgenital plate triangular with central area distinctly raised; apex obtuse (Figs. 10F–H). Ovipositor falcate; margins finely serrulate near apex only.

Coloration. Yellowish brown with remnants of green; probably green when alive. Vertex in central area ivory white bordered by black bands along inner margin of compound eyes; another brown spot in middle of hind margin. Antennae with dark brown annulation; scapus and pedicellus on dorsal side (with antennae directed in front) with dark brown marks. Pronotum green with dark brown or black lateral bands, that are in one male reddish white in middle; at anterior margin with little conspicuous white spot outside the dark band. Tegmen green with narrow dark brown margin (at anterior margin in apical area only); with oblique brown band along costa; stridulatory area white, margins and stridulatory vein dark brown. Hind wings transparent, projecting area green with brown margins. Abdomen yellowish white; very lateral margins dark brown; segments three to four with brown lateral area expanded and including a round white spot; also segments seven to ten with brown lateral areas expanded. Male subgenital plate brown. Male cerci with lateral areas and in apical half also ventral area dark brown. Femora of all legs with dark brown lines in genicular area. Anterior tibia with brown marks in tympanal area. Hind tibia light green, genicular area, a band behind middle and another at apex including tarsus brown; same pattern indicated on mid tibia. Third tarsal segment of all legs with a black spot in middle.

Measurements (2 males, 1 female). body w/wings: male 20–22; body w/o wings: male 12, female 13; pronotum: male 3.2, female 3.3; tegmen: male 14.0–15.2, female 20; hind wing: male 17.0–17.5, female 22.5; hind femur: male 10, female 11.5; ovipositor: female 5.2 mm.
