Distribution in Iran. Golestan ( Samin et al. 2015; Švihla 1983), Mazandaran, Northern Khorasan ( Švihla 1983). General distribution. Caucasus, Central and southern Europe, Iran, Russia, Turkey, Turkmenistan ( Švihla 1999b, 2008a; Vázquez 2002; Montalto & Bologna 2011; Kerimova & Huseynova 2014).
Chorotype. Turano-European.
Comments. It occurs in luminous forests, dry meadows, field margins and fallow. Adults appear in June and are observed till September on flowers of different plants, grasses and cereal spikes ( Ferenca et al. 2013).
