Distribution in Iran. Golestan, Northern Khorasan ( Švihla 1983), Guilan ( Samin et al. 2015), Mazandaran ( Švihla 1983; Modarres Awal 1997).
General distribution. Central Asia, Europe, Russia, South Caucasus , Turkey ( Švihla 1999b, 2008a; Vázquez 2002; Kerimova & Huseynova 2014).
Chorotype. Turano-European.
Comments. Larvae unknown. Adult beetles are found in open habitats: grasslands, forest sites on various flowering plants, particularly Apiacaeae and Rubus , Achillea , Galium and Ranunculus ( Kubisz 2006; Ferenca et al. 2013).
