Distribution in Iran. Guilan ( Švihla 1983 as A. opacocoerulea ), Mazandaran ( Samin et al. 2015), Northern Iran (no locality cited) ( Švihla 1992, 1996, 2008a).
General distribution. Caucasus, Europe, Iran, Transcaucasus, Turkey, Turkmenistan ( Vázquez 2002; Švihla 2008a), Lebanon ( Švihla 2011).
Chorotype. Turano-European.
Comments. Larvae develop in hollows of trees ( Aesculus , Acer , Fagus , Quercus , Ulmus ), adults occur on herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees ( Kubisz 2006).
