Allaretella germanica View in CoL differs from the other Lestremiinae View in CoL by the presence in both sexes of long, multibranched translucent sensilla on the flagellomeres and membranous windows on the thorax (one large prescutellar window and two smaller presutural windows, the latter not mentioned in previous descriptions). A full description of this species was provided by Meyer & Spungis (1994) and Jaschhof (1998).
Previous distribution. Germany, Austria, Latvia. Occurrence in Sweden: Öland, Östergötland, Södermanland.

Jaschhof; male (CEC202), Östergötland, Ödeshög, Omberg, Stocklycke meadow, 2–23 Aug. 2003, Malaise trap, SMTP (trap 13, collecting event 1647) ; 5 males (CEC203–207), Södermanland, Trosa, Hunga Södergård , backyard, 24 June–5 July 2003, Malaise trap, SMTP (trap 12, collecting event 69).
