Lanelater judaicus ( Reiche et Saulcy, 1857)
( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1–12 )
Agrypnus judaicus Reiche & Saulcy, 1857: 418 .
Material examined. “B. Naddi h. B. e. w. may/1957” 1 (1, CCUL); “ Lebanon, Horsh Ehden NR, pins, pitfall, 27–8–2011, Jida / Nemer / Kfoury ” (1, HNHM) , “ Lebanon Appl. 1878 I. Beirut ” (7, NHMW) ; “Appl. 1878 I. Bey Mary ” (2, NHMW) .
Published data. Original description. Type locality: “ Beyrouth [ Lebanon]” (Reiche & Sulcy 1857: 418).
Distribution. A: Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey ( Cate 2007).
Remarks. One specimen of Lanelater from the collection of USEK (without locality labels) most probably represents a new species similar to L. judaicus . However, it clearly differs from the latter in the apices of posterior angles of pronotum, which are very short, truncate and not divergent (longer and divergent in L. judaicus ).
