Range: —Hispaniola; southern Mexico to Suriname and Bolivia (CO, LP); southeastern Brazil.
Ecology: —Uncommon; epiphytic and saxicolous in humid forest, often high in the canopy and at other sunny sites; 600–2000(–2900) m.
Notes: —Differs from H. undulatum by rachises fully or mostly winged, and rachis wings much more strongly crispate (vs. undulate). Blades are narrow, 0.75–2 cm wide, extremely crisped, with strongly ruffled margins.
