Etymology. Named for John Bradbury in recognition of his outstanding contribution to our understanding of the freshwater amphipod fauna of Australia.
Diagnostic description. Head with well-developed, rounded sub-ocular lobes, eyes well developed. Antenna 1 about one quarter length of body, longer than antenna 2, peduncular article 1 longer than 2, accessory flagellum absent, primary flagellum with 6 articles. Antenna 2 very short, peduncular article 5 a little longer than 4, flagellum with 5 articles. Labium lacking inner lobes. Mandible palp article 3 short, sub-ovoid, setose on posterior margin. Maxilla 1 inner plate elongate with distal robust seta and long slender setae along posterior margin. Maxilla 2 inner plate with oblique setal row. Maxilliped with well developed plates, palp elongate. Labrum without epistome. Gnathopods not sexually dimorphic. Gnathopod 1 slender, subchelate, palm oblique. Gnathopod 2 slender, subchelate. Pereopod 3–7 dactylus without subterminal setae. Pereopod 5 coxa with anterior and posterior lobes. Pereopods 5–7 basis expanded with crenulate posterior margin. Epimeron 1–2 with posterodistal notch bearing fine seta. Epimeron 3 with posterodistal and posterior marginal notches bearing a seta. Urosomite 2 lacking dorsal setae. Urosomite 3 with posteroventral robust seta. Uropod 1 peduncle longer than rami, lacking a distoventral spine; inner ramus longer than outer. Uropod 2 inner ramus much longer than peduncle and longer than outer ramus. Uropod 3 peduncle short, subsquare, rami longer than peduncle, inner ramus longer than outer, both rami lacking distal setae but bearing marginal robust setae. Telson broader than long, distally emarginate.
Distribution. Only known from type locality.
