Weania berricoensis Engel & Morris 1989
1989 Weania berricoensis Engel & Morris ; p. 314–316, figs. 3–4.
Holotype. AMF80612 (external mould of pygidium).
Paratype material. AMF80613 (internal pygidium), AMF80614a/b (external/internal pygidium), AMF80615a/b (external/internal pygidium), AMF80616a/b (external/internal pygidium), AMF80617 (external pygidium), AMF80618 (internal librigena), AMF80619 (partial external cranidium).
Locality. NU L446.
Diagnosis. See Engel & Morris (1989: 314).
Remarks. Engel & Morris (1989) established Weania berricoensis based speciments with a larger pygidium. The species if diagnosed purely on pygidial characters, as only fragments of W. berricoensis cranidia have been found. The pygidia resemble other species of Weania in their broadly semicircular shape and pleural ribs becoming fainter posteriorly. Their size and number of axial rings and pleural ribs separate them from W. goldringi (Campbell & Engel 1963) .
