Diagnosis. Body flattened, 7.6–9.1 mm long; head with apex pointedly projecting, without superapical tubercles; scutellum without prominent patches of black bristles; forewing with basal third of embolium dilated and well-developed membrane; edge of anterior dilation of fore femur forming an acute angle with posterior side of femur; greatest width of posterior margin of male abdominal sternum VI (measured from one caudolateral angle to the other) less than half the width of abdominal sternum IV (measured along the posterior margin, from the median notch to the lateral margin of the right side); male abdominal sternum VIII at most as long as sternum IX; male abdominal sternum IX approximately 1/4 as wide as sternum V ( Todd 1955).
