Diagnosis. Body shorter than 1.5 mm; apterous pronotum covering mesonotum and most of metanotum; apterous metanotum visible only as very short central stripe; posterior margin of male abdominal mediotergite VII with pronounced concavity; male abdominal segment VIII deeply inserted into pregenital abdomen, with posterior margin dorsally concave, ventrally with weak median notch; apterous female abdominal laterotergites elevated to approximately 90º, slightly bowed on sides of mediotergites II–V, convergent and slightly reflected on sides of VI–VIII; forewings of macropterous specimens with proximal pair of elongated maculae, distal pair of rounded maculae, and median macula close to apex ( dos Santos et al. 2021).
