Diagnosis. Member of the robusta group ( Polhemus 1997). Body length 4.4–4.8 mm; pronotum mostly dark-brown to black, strongly contrasting with yellowish-brown or orange-brown mark on anterior lobe; small black denticles present on male jugum and adjacent region of proepisternum; male hind trochanter with small subequal spines; male hind femur with 3–4 irregular rows of spines, with a large spine near its middle dorsally displaced from others; male hind tibia with one preapical spine larger than the others; sides of male abdominal segment VII lacking patches of small black denticles ( Magalhães et al. 2016).
