Acrodontochelys sinensis Olmi 1984: 1180 ; type locality: Macau ( China), syn. nov.
Material examined. Holotype of Pachygonatopus nearcticus : Ƥ, USA, Woodbury County, Sioux City, IX.1919, reared from a jassid, C.N. Ainslie coll. [ USNM]. China: Guangdong: Nankunshan National Forest Park, 8.VI.2002, M. Olmi coll., 1 Ƥ [ MOLC]; Nanling National Nature Reserve, Ruyang, on grass, parasitized host collected 12.IX.2004, dryinid cocooning 13.IX.2004, dryinid adult emerged X.2004, M. Olmi reared from adults of unidentified Cicadellidae , 3 3 [ MOLC]; same locality, parasitized host collected 12.IX.2004, dryinid cocooning 15.IX.2004, dryinid adult emerged X.2004, M. Olmi reared from adults of unidentified Cicadellidae , 1 Ƥ, 2 3 [ MOLC].
Hosts. Cicadellidae ( Guglielmino & Olmi 1997, 2007): in France: Balclutha frontalis (Ferrari) ; in Italy: Balclutha rosea (Scott) ; in Namibia: Paradorydium spatulatum (Naudé) ; in South Africa: Balclutha rosea (Scott) ; in the USA: Balclutha neglecta (DeLong & Davidson) , Balclutha impicta (Van Duzee) .
Distribution. Oriental, Palaearctic, Afrotropical, Nearctic. Many countries of the four regions including China (Olmi 1999): Macau ( Olmi, 1984), Guangdong (new record).
Notes. Acrodontochelys sinensis Olmi was considered a questionable species, because the only known specimen (female holotype from China, Macau [BPBM]) was exactly like females attributed to different species ( bouceki Currado , ugandanus Benoit, nearcticus Fenton ) and collected in Europe, Africa and North America. However, in the past, a synonymy was not established waiting for the discovery of males. The discovery for the first time of males of this species in Guangdong Province, Ruyang, gave the opportunity to compare them with males reared in other continents and attributed to G. nearcticus (Fenton) , mainly the type material of Acrodontochelys bouceki Currado. This comparison proved that the Chinese males are like the males of European, Afrotropical and Nearctic material, giving the opportunity to establish the new synonymy with A. sinensis .
