Gekko porosus group
( Figure 6 View FIGURE 6. A D)
Species. G. crombota Brown, Oliveros, Siler & Diesmos, 2008 ; G. gigante Brown & Alcala, 1978 ; G. porosus Taylor, 1922 ; G. ro m b l o n Brown & Alcala, 1978 ( Figure 6 View FIGURE 6. A D); G. ro s s i Brown, Oliveros, Siler & Diesmos, 2009.

(e.g. W-shaped) pattern; dorsum with flecks ( G. gigante indistinctly banded).
Distribution. Philippines ( Figure 3 View FIGURE 3 B).
Remarks. G. p o ro s u s was, for a long time, only known from the juvenile holotype (CAS 60526) (see Taylor 1922b), which was redescribed by Brown & Alcala (1978). The redescription by the latter authors led to slightly smaller measurements, and they did not mention the dark dorsal flecks that were visible in the freshly collected holotype. Brown et al. (2009) redescribed G. p o ro s u s using new material: three adult males with transverse rows of spots.
