Relictanum magisadspersum View in CoL Miranda sp. nov.
Map 1. Figure 46 View FIGURE 46 .
Type locality. Venezuela, Carabobo, Henri Pittier National Park, Portachuelo Pass, 1143m, 10°20'51''N 67°41'16''W. Holotype male CNC.
Male. Similar to R. adspersitum except: Face entirely black. Occiput pollen differently oriented dorsally. Scutum brown pollen at most concentrated as a pair of sub-medial vittae barely visible from a posterior angle; scutum mainly black pilose, except with some white pile on notopleuron but always black pilose anterior to transverse suture. Scutellum pile black, subscutellar fringe pile black. Pleuron sometimes with a few black pile dorsally on posterior ½ of posterior anepisternum. Wing entirely infuscated; only basal ⅓ of mesotibia and base of metatibia pale. Third abdominal tergite trapezoidal, slightly longer than basal width and with 6 white spots, one median pair sub-basally, another basal pair sub-laterally and a central pair. Genitalia: Cercus with 1 row of pile on medial margin and 2 irregular rows on lateral margin. Surstylus sub-quadrate with slightly extended apical corner on lateral view, with long setulae (around 16) ventrally on apical ⅔, with very few pile (around 5) on basal ½ of the dorsal surface. Subepandrial sclerite rectangular and wide, with baso-lateral corners slightly extended. Hypandrium with trapezoidal notch extending to anterior ½, notch posterior margin straight, with a few pile (around 3) subapically on ventro-lateral surface. Distiphallus short and with anterior surface almost straight. Postgonite narrow, with few pile on ventral ⅓, ventral surface twice undulated, dorsal surface slightly concave; postgonite apex rounded with subapical lateral spine.
Female: Female unknown.
Length. ~ 6mm; wing ~ 5mm.
Distribution. Costa Rica (Puntarenas), Venezuela (Carabobo).

Comments. Very similar to R. adspersitum but immediately distinguished by the 6-spotted 3rd abdominal tergite. This species corresponds to sp 53 in the cladograms of Miranda (2011).
Etymology. The specific epithet is a reference to the increased number of spots on the abdominal tergites of this species. It is to be treated as an adjective.
