Diagnosis: This can be distinguished from other species by its median carina of pronotum in prozona, when viewed in profile, strongly raised and deeply incised at posterior typical sulcus; spurs of hind tibia relatively shorter and stouter; first tarsal joint short, its second pulvillus not longer than the first or the third ( Uvarov, 1943: Fig. 73).
Habitats: A few specimens were collected from sandy localities surrounded by grass and vegetables.
Material examined: Sebha Region: Sebha, 3♂, on grass and vegetable 10.v.1996 .
Localities: Tripolitania: Mizda, Uadi, Caam; Fezzan: Sebha.
Distribution: Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, S.W. Asia.
Remarks: This species was earlier recorded from Tripolitania and other parts of Libya by Chopard (1943) and La Greca (1958) respectively.
