SIF = 7BS-N-3-3111.1000; fPp = B/B/NNB; fCx = 1.2.1; fSt = 2.2; fSc: AM> PL> PPL ≥ AL; Ip = 842–969; fD = (4–5)H-[(10–12)-(6–12)]-(15–21)-(10–14)-(7–12)-…, in holotype fD = 4H-[10-12]-[12-7]-13-11-7-3; DS = 65–86; VS = 41–68; NDV = 113–152. Type material examined. Holotype larva (K-302-303) ex Microtus majori , GEORGIA: Mtirala , 2000 m a.s.l., 25 July 1961, coll. N.I. Kudryashova.

Material from Turkey examined. Seven larvae (ZISP) ex Microtus majori , Apodemus ponticus , and A. (Sylvaemus) sp., Rize Prov., upper part of Çağlayan (Abu) valley, 1000 m a.s.l., 27 and 28 June 1998, coll. AAS; 12 larvae (ZISP) ex M. majori , A. ponticus , and A. (Sylvaemus) sp., ibidem, 500 m a.s.l., 29 June 1998, coll. AAS.

Hosts. Microtus majori Thomas , Apodemus ponticus (Sviridenko) .

Distribution. Georgia (Adjara). Kudryashova (1993b, 1998) questioned the record of X. montana from Azerbaijan ( Mulyarskaya 1968). This species is here recorded from Turkey for the first time.
