Comments. A diagnosis for the genus based on Australian material is provided in Stevens et al. (2010). The introduced species L. rufipes is the only representative of the genus to occur in Australia. It is redescribed to facilitate its identification from other Australian species previously considered to belong to Bassus prior to the taxonomic changes of Sharkey et al. (2009).
