4.2. E. bieneusi genotypes in bamboo rats

There were only two studies of E. bieneusi in bamboo rats in southern China. Altogether, eight genotypes were found among the small number of positive samples. The dominant genotype was D. Other Group 1 genotypes included the well-known Peru 11, EbpA, and PigEBITS7. Two novel genotypes of Group 2, however, were detected in a few animals

( Wang et al., 2019), indicating that the ITS genotype D could be from a source different from that in fur animals.
