Status at New Ireland. New record, based NTUM 11328 (1 specimen, 45.9 mm SL, St. CP 4491-13, northwest of New Hanover ).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Philippines and Papua New Guinea, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to North Queensland, Australia. 0–267 m depth. Marine.
