Centriscus cristatus (DeVis 1885) —Smooth shrimpfish ( Fig. 40 )

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen photographed at Lissenung Island by Dietmar Amon on 24 July 2010.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Indonesia east to Papua New Guinea, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Usually in schools among seagrass, 0–10 m depth. Marine.
