Zenarchopterus dunckeri Mohr 1926 —Duncker's river garfish

Status at New Ireland. Reported from Kavieng, New Ireland in original description by Mohr (1926: 255), based on ZMH 13968, 16160; also recorded by Duncker & Mohr (1926: 127–128). Specimens observed at Kavieng fish market in 2004–2005 by Jeff Kinch during CFMDP Survey.

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Andaman Islands east to Philippines and Solomon Islands, north to Ryukyu Islands, 0–1 m depth. Freshwater, transitional water and marine.
