Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (2 specimens, St. CP 4439-22 and CP4439-24, northeast of New Hanover ).
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Western Pacific: Philippines north to southern Japan, south to northern Australia (eastern Indian Ocean). Benthopelagic, 145–595 m depth. Marine.
