Type Locality: Madagascar, between "Tamatave and Morondava;" type locality requires formal restriction, which may be possible with archival research because the species occurs only in the east.

Vernacular Names: White-tailed Antsangy.

Distribution: Rain forest at middle elevations, E Madagascar.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
