Synonym. Trox fenestratus Harold, 1872: 97 (original description). Synonymised by Haaf (1958): 1079. Type locality: “Nordaustralien: Cap York, Port Denison [= Queensland, Australia]”. Type depository. Reportedly deposited in the MNHN according to Haaf (1954b): 711. Type locality: “ Port Denison [ Bowen, Queensland, Australia]” .

Distribution: Spain ( Bercedo Páramo 1997) [Introduced].

Comment: Omorgus ( O.) subcarinatus , native to Australia, has now been recorded from Palaearctic region ( Bercedo Páramo 1997).
