Xyleborus naevus (Schedl) : Schedl 1963:102
Taxonomy: This is the type species of the genus, designated by Schedl (1963), who in that paper considered the genus to be a synonym of Xyleborus Eichhoff. The male was described by Browne (1972). The lectotype (NHMW) has been examined and compared with series in BMNH, BPBM, RAB and ZMLU. The species is most closely related to C.barbieri , C.cuneatus and C.subnaevus .
Distribution: East Malaysia ( Sarawak), West Malaysia. The addition of Sumatra to the distribution by Bright and Skidmore (2002) is a lapsus for Sarawak. The species may occur on the Indonesian island, but has not yet been recorded from it. The species is newly recorded here from Brunei Darussalam and East Malaysia (Sabah) on the island of Borneo.
