The Epeolus tarsalis View in CoL species group
Diagnosis. Species of the E. tarsalis species group differ from other species groups by the peculiar shape of the elevated supraclypeal area between antennal sockets, where the frontal carina is more or less enlarged laterally in lobes ( Figs 1–3 View FIGURES 1–7 ). The development of these lobes is different among species of the group: from partially covering insertion of the antennae to not reaching the edges of the antennal sockets.
