Identification. This Calotes species with vertically compressed body and a dorsal crest is distinguished from the similar C. versicolor by the presence of a large spine above the eye and a pronounced skin fold at the shoul- der ( Das 2010).
Habitat. Calotes emma is restricted to mature forest in LNP.
