Erect annual up to 75 cm. Leaves 12-30 x 1-3 mm, linear, acute, flat. Cymes usually lax, very shortly pedunculate, the peduncle connate with the base of the bracts. Fruiting perianth not inflated, with a slight tubercle on the back. Seeds granular, vertical or horizontal. S.E. Russia, W. Kazakhstan. Rs (E). ( W. Asia.)
