Glabrous, glaucous perennial forming dense tufts up to 15 cm. Leaves 10-15 x 0-3-0-6 mm, patent, narrowly linear to filiform, distinctly 1-veined, somewhat fleshy. Flowers 5-merous, solitary or in 2- to 3-flowered cymes; pedicels slender. Sepals 2-5-3 mm, ovatelanceolate, distinctly 1-veined; petals slightly exceeding sepals. Seeds black; strophiole broadly 4-lobed. Shady limestone rocks. • 5. Alps from c. 10° 30' to c. 12° 15' E. It.
