Glabrous annual. Stem 3-10 cm, with erect branches. Leaves 4-6 mm, alternate, oblong or obovoid-clavate, tapered and flattened towards the base. Flowers 5- or 6-merous, shortly pedicellate, in a crowded corymb. Stamens 10-12. Follicles stellate-patent; styles short, deflexed. 2« = 16. Somewhat calcicole. 9 Mountains of C. & S.
