The females are characterized by face below antenna, pronotum, parts of mesonotum and parts of leg covered with fine silver pilosity. Gaster black. 20-25 mm. The males are characterized by a mesonotum with fine sculpture, no shining interspaces visible (similar to P. strigulosus or some more coarse). Anterior margin of Clypeus short, medially emarginated. Sternite VIII more or less heart-shaped. Gaster all black. 17-20 mm. The association of the to of P. orientalis is hypothetical and is made because of the same habitat. Further examinations should be done!
V a r i a t i o n (?): Gaster basal reddish. Male genitals like those of the black specimens.
