Austrotinodes pandus -group
Wings similar to A. yalga ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 8–15 ). Forewing length about 2.9–3.4 times width: male 4.1–6.3 mm, female 6.0 mm. Forewing fork 2 long, with footstalk, footstalk ranges from 0.9–2.0 times length of cross-vein r-m, length fork about 1.0–1.2 times length fork 3; fork 3 length ranges from 1.9–3.8 times length footstalk, footstalk length from about 1.5–2.8 times length cross-vein m. Hindwing length about 2.8–3.1 times width; fork 2 usually with short footstalk, occasionally sessile, length footstalk between 0–1.7 times length cross-vein r-m, fork about 1.0–1.3 times length of fork 3.
Males with inferior appendages paired or fused basally, with apices widely separated, dorso-basal processes near base of inferior appendages (phallic guides) relatively long, usually curved. Superior appendages with or without basal processes, if present with short spines only. Only the female of A. pandus is known in this group. It has a pair of triangular lobes without the central pointed process on sternite VIII ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 37–40 ).
The group comprises four species- A. bibu , A. camurus , A. gorom and A. pandus from north-eastern
Queensland and north-eastern New South Wales.
