Other distribution: Australia, India (Andaman & Nicobar Is.), Indonesia (Java, Maluku, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Sumbawa), Malaysia (E.), New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Is., Taiwan. Intercepted in Japan from timber imported from the region. (4)
Biology: Polyphagous ( Kalshoven 1959). The gallery system is simply forked in one transverse plane. Kalshoven (1959) gives details of brood sizes at various stages of development of the gallery system.
