Taxonomy: The species is listed by Wood & Bright (1992) under Coptodryas , but has the morphological characters of Microperus ( Hulcr et al. 2007a) , and is here transferred to that genus.
Biology: Recorded from five genera in five different families of trees, and presumably polyphagous. The gallery system ( Browne 1961a) is irregularly branched in the horizontal plane with several small brood chambers elongated in the longitudinal plane. Browne (1961a) suggests that the female lays eggs in clusters over a considerable period, the offspring from each cluster occupying a separate brood chamber.
