Positive for nitrate reduction, urease, and esculin hydrolysis, but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase, β -galactosidase, and cytochrome oxidase in the API 20NE test. All carbon substrates are not utilized in the API 20NE test. Strain YC 4-26 ( = NIBRBAC000498654) was isolated from Yongcheon cave , Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, Korea.
