Molobratia Hull, 1958d: 251 View in CoL . Type species: Asilus teutomus Linnaeus, 1767 .
Species of the genus Molobratia View in CoL have a large spur at the tip of the fore tibia and simple ovipositor which bares no spines on the acanthophorites ( Geller-Grimm 2005). As noted by Geller-Grimm, seven of the previously recorded thirteen species ( Nagatomi et. al. 1989; Haupt & Azuma 1998) occur from the northeastern Palearctic (i.e., China, Japan and South Korea), and only one of these, M. youngi Geller-Grimm View in CoL , has been recorded from South Korea.
