Diagnosis. Parasycorax can be differentiated from the other two genera of Sycoracinae , Sycorax and Aposycorax, by the following combination of characters: male antenna with sinuous ascoids 2 times as long as flagellomere; fourth palpomere elongated, about 1.5–2.0 times as long as third palpomere; Sc not reaching wing margin; Rs not reaching R1; R5 incomplete at base; radial and medial forks at almost the same level; gonostylus with two or more spines.
