Type Locality: Burma, Upper Chindwin, Akanti, 300 ft. (91 m).

Vernacular Names: Grand Leaf-nosed Bat.

Distribution: Burma, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 – Not evaluated; not considered in IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001).

Discussion: larvatus species group. Distinct from larvatus ; see Kitchener and Maryanto (1993 a).
