Material examined. 1 ♀ ( CASC): / CASENT 8135301 / Madagascar: Toliara Prov. Parc National de Zombitse 19.8 km 84° E Sakaraha elev. 770 m 5-9 Feb. 2003 22° 50’ 36” S 044° 42’ 36” E / coll. Fisher, Griswold et al. California Acad. of Sciences sifted litter (leaf mold, rotten wood) in tropical dry forest collection code: BLF7510 /.

Another likely flightless new species, belonging to the antsingyi group of species. It’s similar to S. beankae sp. nov. from which differs in having denser and shallower pronotal and elytral punctation and shallower and finer head punctation.
